Challenger Baseball

Laguna Hills Little League wants ALL children to develop a love of baseball. The Challenger Division is a separate division of Little League designed for children with physical and mental challenges, league ages 5 to 13. The registration fee for this division is nominal, and we rely on fundraisers to subsidize the costs of the program. Challenger games can be played as tee ball games, coach pitch, player pitch, or a combination of the three. Players from teams in other Laguna Hill's Little League divisions participate in the Buddy Program whereby buddies may assist Challenger players on the field as needed. The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989, and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.

Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 5 to 13.
